It IS Sense Of WONDER Camp!
On the Eve of Summer Solstice, we rise for our fourth day; representing the element EARTH and the direction NORTH.
From Starhawk's Spiral Dance, "The North is considered the most powerful direction. Because the sun never reaches the norther hemisphere, it is the direction of Mystery, of the unseen. The North Star is the center, around which the skies revolve. Altars face North in the Craft. North corresponds to Earth, to the body, to midnight, winter, brown, black, and the green of vegetation. From the North comes the power to keep silent, to listen as well as speak, to keep secrets, to know what not to say."

Here are some of the gifts from Mother Nature and the creations the girls made from Air/East (dream catchers) and Fire/South (Shakers) as well as some visitors that called us to listen with our deer ears, see with our owl eyes, touch with our racoon hands and smell with our dog noses.

Second Annual Yard Sale - Saturday, April 27, 2013
Full Circle Susquehanna is having a yard sale/fundraiser on
Saturday, April 27.
Some items for the sale are kitchen items, a water fountain and potted, native plants (Native columbine, ferns, jack in the pulpits, and perhaps some trillium and queen of the night tulips) and who knows what else. If you need to do some spring cleaning and would like to donate your gently used items, please email fullcirclesusq@yahoo.com and note "yard sale" in subject line. Yes, we will take clothing, hesitantly, as I only have one clothing rack to display the items. If you can price your items, too, that would greatly assist us with set up as we already have many people donating their stuff.
Please spread the word to help us re-purpose these items to a good home and for a great cause. Mark your calendar so you don't miss the yard sale @ 843 Janet Avenue, Lancaster, PA.

Sense of Wonder Camp June 17 - 21, 2013
In the Summer of 1995, we offered our first Sense of Wonder Camp for
girls. The writings of Rachel Carson express the philosophy that guides
our camp. “If I had influence over the good fairy who is supposed to
preside over the christening of all children I should ask that her gift
to each child in the world be a sense of wonder so indestructible that
it would last throughout life.” We want girls to know the beauty
and mystery of nature and to see and learn about female role models who
hold a deep regard for the Earth and the amazing life on Her.
Held in the Lancaster County Park, the eco-feminist camp for girls ages 8 to 15 ~ is sponsored by Full Circle Susquehanna, Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(3) women's organization dedicated to the empowerment of girls and women. The camp is staffed by Full Circle Susquehanna board members, guest presenters and Sense of Wonder alumni.
Camp is held every year the week that includes Summer Solstice. For a Sense of Wonder Camp brochure, please email fullcirclesusq@yahoo.com

Bring on the JOY! Workshop - Updated TIME
A JOYFUL workshop with Jen Yost to benefit Full Circle Susquehanna, Inc.
Saturday, April 20, 2013, 10 a.m. to 12 noon
Joy begins as a delicate seedling we plant in our lives, and then, with nurturing and care, one day we realize it’s become a strong, hardy tree of joy – grounded and unshakable.
We begin with simple yet incredibly practical and powerful practices we can insert into a few moments of our day here and there. This does not require any more time in your day….just empowering yourself to make a different choice.
Breathe in, breathe out. Relax.
Smile broadly. As we amp up our joy, something magical happens in other areas of life as well. Suddenly new possibilities open up and we have the energy, clarity and focus needed to easily resolve issues in our health, relationships, careers, financial well-being and more.
Join us for this delight-filled afternoon workshop! We'll explore and experience simple, fun and extremely effective techniques for bringing more joy into your life. You'll smile, laugh, enjoy and leave feeling empowered to easily implement daily practices of joy in your life! Wear loose comfortable clothing and come ready to bring on your joy!
Cost is $25, in advance. All proceeds from this workshop will go to support the work of Full Circle Susquehanna, Inc. Class will be held at Radiance, 9 W Grant St, Lancaster, PA, across the cobblestones from Central Market. Stop in or phone 717-290-1517 to register.
